So we would like to tell you about each one of us...
Donna Karpa, REALTOR®
A Maryland suburbs native, I have a degree in social work. Maybe that's why I've been active helping people solve problems even before my real estate career. My helpful nature is also evident in my volunteer work with the Service Guild, a woman's charitable organization, and the Museum of Natural History, where as a docent I provide tours to diplomats and classes for children. In addition to being parents of two children, Jill & Jonathan, I and my dentist husband, Billy, actively support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. As you can see, I am an active member of my community, but I make time for golf, exercise, and spending time with people! You might also find me courtside, cheering on the Maryland Terrapins basketball team or taking in the ACC tournament.
Sharon Owens, REALTOR®
I grew up in the Maryland suburbs, and since I have direct experience with many moves across the country, I am considered to be a relocation agent. And as an active member of the Junior League, I have organized various events and conducted seminars on stress for corporate wives. Both I and my husband, Brian, Senior Vice President with the Acacia Group, are active in sponsoring local events for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. A former "Head-Start" teacher, I have a degree in psychology. When not spending time with my husband or two daughters, Kelly and Jill, I enjoy golf and interior design. In addition to providing top-notch real estate service to my clients, I am a great resource for knowing contractors for anything you need done in the house!
Jon Karpa, REALTOR®
I grew up in suburban Maryland and attended the University of Maryland at College Park, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After graduation, I spent a year in London working and traveling throughout other parts of Europe. While abroad, I experienced various cultures and met many fascinating people. Upon returning from abroad, I worked for 5 years at Comcast SportsNet and learned how to successfully market products through advertising and internet tools. This allowed for a smooth transition into real estate, where I use both my people skills and my marketing experience to enhance my real estate career. The opportunity to meet so many interesting and fascinating people is what I enjoy most about working in the real estate profession. When I am not meeting with clients or previewing homes, you might find me at a concert at the 9:30 Club in D.C. or at a Maryland football game at Byrd Stadium in College Park.
Aidan Duffy, REALTOR®
I grew up in Northern New Jersey and moved to Maryland to attend Towson University where I received my Sports Marketing degree. After spending almost ten years in the Sports Industry I decided to take the skills I learned in marketing and customer service and apply them to a career in real estate. Working in Real Estate gives me the opportunity to work with friends, make new ones and make their dreams of owning a home come true. My hobbies include traveling, martial arts and many evenings you will find me at the Verizon Center rooting for the Wizards and Capitals or checking out a concert at a local club.
Jill Karpa, REALTOR®
Raised in the Maryland suburbs, Jill attended Duke University in Durham, NC, where she majored in history & Spanish. After graduating from Duke she returned to the DC area, earning a law degree at American University. Jill has worked as an attorney for the federal government, a law firm, and, most recently, Amgen, a Fortune 50 company. Her 20 years of experience working with clients and contracts will be invaluable as she works with home buyers and sellers, guiding them through the many stages of the buying and selling process. In her free time, Jill enjoys running, trying new restaurants, and attending football and basketball games.
Sally Johnston, Team Administrator
A native of western New York, where she owned and operated her own business, Sally Johnston moved to Maryland in 1980. Her excellent customer service skills were sharpened in her position as a customer service manager for a national retail chain. She was continuously called upon to "put out fires" and also handled various duties in the accounting department. Sally then landed a position handling operations for a large franchise business, dealing effortlessly with deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction. You're sure to find that Sally's "people skills" are off the charts, and you'll be impressed with the many other talents she brings with her to meet your needs. It's clear to see why Sally is an indispensable part of our team.
